Lewis Bass Academic Scholarship
Effective September 1, 2023:
REQUIREMENTS: The Lewis Bass Scholarship application is entirely online and includes the submission of a 500+ word essay detailing your career goals and aspirations in the field of IT (Information Technology). As part of the application process, applicants will be required to upload a current resume and disclose earnings, criminal history as well as educational background information. A valid LinkedIn professional profile link will be required as well.
SUGGESTED LIST OF ITEMS TO HAVE PREPARED IN ADVANCE: A link to your LinkedIn profile, a digitally-scanned resume available to upload, a scanned DD 214 Form (Active Military/US Veteran’s only) and details of past scholarships or academic awards.
AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP: The Lewis Bass Scholarship is valued at $2,430 and can be applied towards any technical vocational training program offered at PC Professor oriented towards a career in information technology with the exclusion of desktop software training.
JOB SEARCH REQUIREMENT: Recipients will be expected to begin an active job search in the IT sector prior to class completion and provide evidence of doing so to the school. Recipients of the award opt-in to be added to the school’s job lead network and agree to periodically update the school regarding their employment search and to submit verification upon employment.
TIME EXPECTATION: The Lewis Bass Scholarship application is anticipated to take approximately 2 hours to complete and must be done in one continuous session. Please note that there is no provision to save answers mid-application.
